Blooming Beautiful CASE
How are you doing this beautiful Saturday afternoon? Feel like a Blooming Beautiful Case? Yesterday, I featured beautiful creations from a very talented customer (Rebecca) using the Blooming With Kindness Stamp Set. Then promised to CASE it with products I had on hand. This is the result. Since Blooming With Kindness is not in my arsenal, a substitution had to be made. The choice, Creative Elements paired with Lots of Thanks. These sets are also available in MDS and other languages! More on that under “Today’s Featured Items”

Rebecca’s hemp twine was replaced with Linen Thread and colored with Cajun Craze Classic Ink. Here’s a really cool way to create coordinating thread for your projects. You’ll need the thread, a classic ink pad of your choice and one of our Stamping Sponges.
- Cut the desired length of thread.
- Hold one end of the thread with one hand. Using the sponge, applying pressure to the thread, against the ink pad with your other hand.
Apply pressure to thread against ink pad.
- Pull thread through the ink pad.
- Voila! Matching thread or Baker’s Twine!
Another change was the button. I didn’t have any matching buttons and the Very Vintage Designer Buttons seemed too pristine for my distressed card. Out came a sponge dauber and more ink to add a rustic feel to the button.
Lastly, I used the new self adhesive Candy Dots instead of brads. Although I had brads in my supply bin that would work, I just had to try the new Candy Dots without the brad base.

These little things are fantastic! Especially for someone that adds embellishments AFTER the card is put together. I’m not admitting anything, just sayin’.

I like Rebecca’s better. Just love that stamp set but I think the CASE came out pretty good too. What do you think? Now I think I’ve got to have that stamp set. Enabled again!
Why CASE? It takes a lot of time to create from scratch, with no direction. However, just like traveling, with a road-map you can be so much more productive. Just remember, you should always give the original artist credit if at all possible. One of the greatest compliments I can receive is for someone to CASE one of my designs and say thank you to the world. It’s fun to see the original morph it’s way through the internet.

Beautifully constructed CASE Rae. The flowers are so darn pretty!!! Love the twine trick too!! Have not used Cajun Craze at all…..but it looks so very right on this card. ooxx
