Gently Falling (Re-Post)

Last year, I shared this card with you under the title "Can You Take the Heat?" I remember being excited to share the Woodgrain background stamp and the beautiful effects you can achieve with heat embossing on vellum.  The sentiment stamp from Grateful Greetings is no longer available but you can easily substitute a sentiment from your favorite set.  "From My Heart" would be a perfect greeting set to choose from to remake this card.

My embossing gun is one of the most used tools in my "Tack Room".  Heat embossing can make all the difference in a project.  For example, to create the background, I used the Woodgrain Background Stamp with VersaMark, then heat embossed it with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder.  It has the look and feel of a piece of wood.

The leaves are stamped on Vellum Card Stock and heat embossed with the Pewter Stampin' Emboss Powder then colored on the back with Stampin' Write Markers.  Lastly, the tag and the sentiment are also heat embossed with the Pewter powder.

  1. Iiwould have never guessed the leaves were done on vellum, they are so pretty.  I love the lace ribboon with  the wood grain.  Wonderful card all the way around!
