PPA143It's Thursday and time to play with my Pals over at Pals Paper Arts.  I've been anxious to use MDS Toxic Frameable Art from the Digital Designer Template but I really didn't need another picture on my wall.

Toxic Frameable Digital Template #128139

How could I scale this cute graphic down from 8-1/2" x 11" to use on a card?  MDS2 makes it EASY with the new Re-Size function. I resized and printed it on Very Vanilla card Stock, then cropped it with my trimmer.

Why didn't I crop in MDS2?  I wanted to use the pieces of spider web and splatters on the inside of the card to pull it all together.  The best thing about using a printed graphic element instead of a stamped image?  TIME!  If I would have colored a stamp like this by hand, I would have easily used up an hour or more.  This graphic comes pre-colored and ready to print.

I purposely left the edges of the rosette a little ragged and scrunched the scallop circle a little bit.

There you have it.  Give "Hybrid" card making a try.  Click on the Nuts & Bolts graphic for a downloadable PDF of supplies.  Then, head on over to Pals Paper Arts and play along with us.
