Welcome to Thursday and a Happy Batty Halloween card for Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge PPA223. The perfect trio of colors (Basic Black, Tangelo Twist & Very Vanilla) for the season. It’s no wonder pumpkins and bats landed on the card.
It all came together with help of stamps and stickers from September’s Paper Pumpkin Kit and a scrap frame I’d been holding on to for the right project. Meet Mr. Right.
I don’t remember what I was working on when this fun frame was created. However, it’s created by using two dies. First, use the Clear Oval Accent Bigz Die (#127005) to cut an image out of Basic Black card stock. Next, bring out the Apothecary Accents Framelits (#127003) to cut the inside frame. Don’t have the Apothecary Framelits yet? Do I have a deal for you!
Apothecary Accent is party of Stampin’ Up!s Weekly Deals from October 7, 2014 through October 13, 2014. At 25%, now’s the time to get it.
The pumpkins are super easy to make. For simple instructions, click here to see “how to grow a pumpkin,” of my previous posts from last year.
Happy Halloween is stamped in Basic Black using the Happy Halloween stamp from September’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. The words were then cut apart and lightly torn and distressed. The word placement makes me think of a “keep out” sign. How about you?
When you break through the Keep Out sign, to get inside, something screams, “Boo!”. Bats fly, cobwebs are everywhere. Are you scared yet? Ready for a Happy Batty Halloween?
Do you have stray scraps hanging out in your craft area? Grab them up to create your own masterpiece! Then, post it to Pals Paper Arts when you’re done.
