Pierce My Heart Valentine

How do you make a special Valentine with a limited amount of supplies?  Paper-Piercing and Lace Paper Tape like in the Pierce My Heart Valentine shown above.

This is actually a "Stepped Up" version of a card from one of my classes this month. The only difference is the addition of our new Delicate Details Lace Tape (#130966) on Page 3 of the Stampin'Up! 2013 Spring Catalog.

Here's the original card.  Which one do you like?

I used the new Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack (#129387) to break up the white space and outline the central heart.

What a difference this simple addition of Delicate Details Lace Tape makes. I'm still not sure which version I like the best.  The tape comes in a set of two different designs.  Self-adhesive and mounted on a clear backing, it's easy to pull off without tearing.

The addition of a heart-shaped button from the Bitty Buttons assortment, adorned with Baker's Twine adds a finishing touch without competing with the other Pierce My Heart Valentine details.
