to PPA258 Color Challenge with Pals. Hope your holiday weekend is off to a great start. Time to refresh and enjoy our nation’s 239th birthday. Sounds like a party to me!
This pallet of colors also welcomes two of Stampin’ Up!s newest “In-Colors”, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder. The trio screamed flowers to me. How about you?
Flowers, hmm. I’ve been dying to try the new Cotton Paper Assortment (#138308) with the Bouquet Bigz L Die (#137367). What do you know, the package (labeled as Cherry On Top Cotton Paper Assortment) just happens to include Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush. Now THAT’s Wild! I fell in love with this kind of paper after putting together the Build a Bouquet Kit from this year’s Occasions Catalog. The paper is light and airy, perfect for floral decorations.
Eight plies of the Watermelon Wonder cotton paper were cut at the same time then joined with a dab of hot glue while wrapping around the stem wire. The leaves and flower center are Cucumber Crush and Night of Navy cardstock respectively. Leaves are scored in the middle then edged with Cucumber Crush Classic Ink (#138324) for a little dimension.
This cute little accent brightens a corner of my work table. Love it! Can’t wait to try the other blossoms on the die.
