It's been a few days since I've seen you.  Sorry 'bout that.  Had a few changes of the technical nature.  Upgrades, maintenance, etc, etc.  As you can see, I've been working behind the scenes and glad to be back. 

Today, we're playing hybrid again.  Don't worry, you can also create this with traditional stamping.  You'll notice many of the elements used for this project are from our Holiday Catalog.  I've been dying to use the Holiday Frames Embossing folder and Champagne Glimmer paper so I threw them both in the blender and this is what I got.  It reminds me of an ornate front door.  

Can you figure out the hybrid portion? Give up? It's the word Joy, from the Joyous Celebrations stamp set. I didn't intend to make this a hybrid project.  I thought I had a stamp that would work for my focal point but it didn't fit.  MDS2 to the rescue!   How did I print on the Glimmer Paper?  I didn't.  I had a transparency sheet left over from another project.  If you try this, make sure you purchase the correct type of sheet.  They're made for laser printers, inkjet printers or a combination of both.  Check the Nuts & Bolts for this project for more information.

 If you haven't tried the Core'dinations card stock from the Holiday Catalog with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, you're really missing out.  I've always loved embossing folders for the simple elegance they add to a card.  But, the white core in this card stock really makes an impact, especially if you like the rustic look.
