It's spring and the weather has finally noticed.

Who's ready for a picnic and another Mojo Monday?

 

As you can see, the folks over on the Mojo Monday blog gave us a choice, round or square.  This time, it was easy.  Designs in the Domestic Goddess paper pack resemble cute, patterns like the kitchen table cloth you may throw in your picnic basket.  Everyone knows a picnic table cloth is square, or at least rectangle, right? 

Faux Quilting adds to the country romance feel and is a simple technique with a huge WOW factor.  Just punch or cut patterned paper pieces, adhere them to card stock and emboss them using your favorite die cut/embossing machine.  I use the Big Shot by Sizzix because of the size range of embossing folders and dies it can handle.

The fresh, spring feeling continues on the inside with another piece of paper from the pack stamped with the Hello Friend stamp set in Pool Party classic ink.  You don't even need a sentiment.

 

Alert! The Ticket Corner Punch, as seen here and on the front of the card, is being discontinued on May 30th.  I use this punch all the time.  In fact, I'm ordering another one in case my original wears out someday.

 

And, now that this paper is being discontinued, I've finally decided I love it.  The designs remind me of my grandma's kitchen or picnic table.  I can almost taste her raw apple or peanut butter cake.  Simple recipes that make quite a statement, like these colors.
