PPA-113 – Can You Take the Heat?
Pals Paper Arts this week…. Embossing Heat that is. They're turning up the heat over at
My embossing gun is one of the most used tools in my tack room. Heat embossing can make all the difference in a project. For example, the Woodgrain Background is stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder over Soft Suede Card Stock. It gives the feel of a piece of wood. The leaves are stamped on Vellum Card Stock and heat embossed with the new Pewter Stampin' Emboss Powder then colored on the back with Stampin' Write Markers. Lastly, the tag and the sentiment are also heat embossed with the new Pewter powder.
Heat up those guns and melt away! Don't forget to stop by Pals Paper Arts for more inspiration. I can hardly wait to peek.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Very beautiful card! I've been on the fence about the woodgrain stamp but you've convinced me it's a must! The leaves are stunning as well!
Looks like I’ve been an enabler to a lot of folks. Love it!
Thank you all for your kind words.

Beautiful card, Rae! I love the woodgrain background! The leaves are gorgeous! Thanks for being our guest designer this week!
Rae, I saw your card at the PPA and just had to say it's gorgeous. I LOVE how you did the woodgrain. It's usually muted, but this clear embossing looks fabulous! I will have to try that! Your vellum leaves are gorgeous as well. Love everything about it. Hugs.
Your card is beautiful -You are so right-what a difference the wood grain pops when you embossed with the clear powder! –It was nice to see the pewter embosssing powder -I don't believe I have seen any cards using pewter yet-very pretty !
I love embossing powders from SU! You have done a great job. I don't have the new pewter color-I can see I'm going to have to get it. Coloring in the back of the vellum-smart idea. Will definitely give it a try!
