PPA120 – Pals Sketch Challenge
Ready for this week's challenge over at Pals Paper Arts?
Sketches make my life so much easier. I bet it cuts design time in half, easy. It's like a road map. Sure I'll get there without the map…..eventually, but how many "shortcuts" would I take on the way? And, if you're like me, those "shortcuts" translate into piles and piles of product that have to be cleaned up.
This card is reminiscent of the very first stamp camp I ever attended. The stamps are different but the technique used for the background is the same. I stamped all three snowflakes from the Snow Swirled set to create the background. Then, applied VersaMark to the entire piece and embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder to add a touch of twinkle. Jingle bells, rhinestones and paper piercing add the finishing touches.
A few simple techniques add a lot of pizzaz.
Nuts & Bolts:
* Stamps – Snow Swirled #111690
* Cardstock – Rich Razzleberry (textured), Elegant Eggplant, Brushed Silver,
Whisper White.
* Ink – Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, VersaMark
* Fibers – 5/8" Organza Ribbon #114319
* Embellishments – Mini Jingle Bells #124116; Brads (Silver) #104336;
Basic Rhinestones #119246
* Misc. – Stampin' Emboss Powder (Iridescent Ice) #101930
Tools:
* Heat Tool #100005
* Mat Pack #105826 & Paper Piercing Tool #116631

* Punch – Ticket Corner #119867
So grab a stamp set, follow the road map and get in on the fun over at Pals Paper Arts today!

Great card with a lovely retro feel to it. Thanks for reminding me of the "stamp off" technique. I'll have to try it. Thanks for being a guest artist.
