Flirting with Doilies on Mojo Monday #240
It's Mojo Monday again!
If it seems like I just posted a card for the last sketch, you're right! I just started playing along with the Mojo Monday players about 2 weeks ago and jumped in toward the end of the cycle. I'm caught up and hope to play along toward the beginning of the challenges. It's a great way to hone your skills while using up some of your extra supplies.
Have you ever purchased paper or supplies thinking it was the cutest thing you've ever seen only to get home and struggle with it? Well, that was the case with our Flirtatious Specialty paper last year. I just knew I would love the die-cut doily sheets and feminine prints. What I forgot was, I rarely use pink or yellow. What was I thinking? So, the challenge to myself this last month of the 2011-2012 Idea Book is to reduce retiring supplies. Another reason I joined challenges.
When I saw this challenge, I immediately thought of the beautiful die-cut doilies that are part of the Flirtatious Specialty paper and it's so feminine that it was easy to see who I'd make this for. Shhh…. don't tell Mom.
Tips & Tricks: To cut your design time to a minimal, embellish your cards with designs from your patterned paper. You'll also be sure to have a well coordinated piece when you're done.
