It’s National Dog Day!
What a perfect time of year to have National Dog Day. After all, aren't the "Dog Days of Summer" officially here? Our dogs have always held a place of honor in our family and our Jack is no exception. Some of his many "Pet" names are Happy Jack, Gentleman Jack and Whacky Jack. He truly is a happy friend. I used My Digital Studio (MDS2) to create this postcard for my husband. Jack will be so proud.
MDS2 has so many new features. One of these is the ability to color parts of the stamped image with more than one color like my Stick Figure Man and Dog shown here. The software makes it as easy as a click. Trust me, when I say it's easy, it is. When I'm learning new software, I have very little patience with myself. Oops, the cat is out of the bag, sorry Jack!
Another plus, being able to work something up quickly that can be printed on my printer, a commercial press, burned to disk or sent out in an email. This project took me about an hour. Most of the time spent was in selecting the photo, and playing with different color palettes and stamps to use. The only plan I had was the thought of creating something with a dog in it. When I create traditional projects without planning I not only waste a lot of time and product, but I have a horrible mess to clean up. Give it a try, I think you'll be pleased at how quickly you'll be creating your own keepsakes.
All of the elements I used to create my project for National Dog Day are part of the Free Trial. Want to know how to create a cute postcard like this? Download the Free Trial through this website, send me an email with your order/confirmation number and I'll send you a tutorial. It's that simple.
Whether you have dogs, cats, horses, bunnies or birds, have a fantastic day with your pet friend today.
Happy National Dog Day.
