Warm, Summer Birthday
How's your Monday going today? Ready for the new week? Let's start out with some Warm, Summer Birthday greetings with color inspired by home-grown tomatoes. I just love this time of year. Like the basket of bounty from my garden, the colors of this project are warm and inviting. Perfect for a summer birthday.
I wanted a card that was sweet and friendly but not too complicated. First, I chose Happy Birthday from the You're Amazing set. It's perfect with it's cute little accent flowers. Good enough for the main image on my front panel. But, I didn't want to repeat the wording on the inside. Hmmm.
Solution, cut a window. Framelits Apothecary Accents wafer thin dies for Big Shot to the rescue!
Bonus! The inside is done at the same time. Yay!
Simple, but too plain. Embossing folders to the rescue! I tried three different folders before settling on Elegant Bouquet. The embossed flowers look a lot like the little flowers on the stamped image.
The only thing left, finishing touches. How about a little ribbon and some paper-piercing?
Caution! Don't try to paper-pierce AFTER you've added "lumpy" details like ribbon. This is what happens……
The end result, a sweet, friendly greeting with an elegant balance between simple and complicated, boo-boo's and all. Don't you agree?

Have a sweet week, my friend.
