Wonderful Flying Machine – Mojo Monday #258
It' time for my Mojo Monday entry and today it's all about those Wonderful Flying Machines. September is the month that Reno celebrates flight, starting with the Great Reno Balloon Races last weekend. This week it's the Reno Air Races. So, why not feature a little bit of both balloon and plane? What would that be called? A Ballane or a Plalloon?
The stamp set is called Moving Forward. This is our Ronald McDonald stamp for the current catalog. "What's that?", you say? Stampin'Up! donates $3.00 for every Moving Forward Stamp set sold. There's a new stamp set each year. For more information on how this all works, click here.
I'm really loving the new paper-piercing templates, in case you hadn't noticed. Paper-piercing adds just enough detail without adding weight to a pastel card like this one. I also wanted the card to have a "lighter-than-air" feel so too many heavy embellishments just wouldn't work. When you're not sure how to finish off a card, try paper-piercing.
The little flourishes are also part of this set. It's difficult to see in the graphic of the stamp set above. I used them to show the kind of motion I imagine this kind of flying machine would have. So cute!

Fly on over to Mojo Monday and play along!
