Tidings of Comfort & Joy x 2
Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to kick winter celebration preparation into high gear! Here are two variations of the same basic card to give you some ideas. After finishing the first card (above) I thought it would be interesting to see how it would look with a dark background. Which one do you like?
The sentiment on the second version is heat embossed and the focal piece is turned 90 degrees. Turning the focal piece makes it look like a totally different die-cut to me.
I chose a simple stamp that can be purchased four different ways. Yes, I said four. the "Joy" stamp is available as follows: Single Joy Stamp #132303 (until January, 2, 2013); Clear Mount Word Play Set #120651; Wood Mount Word Play Set #120308; and last but not least, MDS2 Word Play Set #124432. What a choice!
Notice how the Window Frames Framelits mirror the shape in the Candlelight Christmas Designer Series Paper? Pretty cool! Check it out on the projects above.

And don't forget the paper-piercing!

Wondering if I threaded the Early Espresso Tulle through the holes in the Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons? The answer is yes. It's really very easy. The scalloped tulle is soft enough to pull right through the little holes. Just start a pointed tip of the ribbon through one of the holes and pull. Pull both ends through to the front of the button and tie a simple knot. That's it!
Don't forget about the Online Extravaganza still going strong AND my free shipping special through Monday, November 26, 2012. Click for More Information.
