Creped Filter Paper Pocket Note

Here it is, my Creped Filter Paper Pocket Note inspired by the demonstrator video from Stampin'Up! I mentioned yesterday. Remember when I said it was quick, fun and easy? it really is. I LOVE this Creped Filter Paper (#129393)! It's light and airy yet very sturdy. Perfect for vintage or shabby projects.

Now, let's play!

Create a tag with a 2-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Whisper White Card Stock. Round the corners on the top only. Create a background on the tag by inking up Clear Block D with Pink Pirouette and stamping on the top portion of the note card.

Stamp a sentiment across the top. I used "Friend" from the retired stamp set "Affection Collection" with Island Indigo Classic Ink. Don't have "Affection Collection?" No problem. You can purchase for MDS or in JPG format, and create your note card digitally or as a hybrid. The Affection Collection MDS download will never retire. Order #133016.

Now let's "Dye" our Creped Filter Paper. Place one round piece of Creped Filter Paper on your work area. Protect your work surface, this may get messy. Ink up your brayer with Pink Pirouette Classic Ink and roll over the smooth side of the Creped Filter Paper until you achieve the color density you like. Let the paper dry completely.

Now let's create the pocket. Turn the Creped Filter Paper over (inked side down). Place the note card on the Creped Filter Paper as shown. Fold the bottom portion up. Tip: Remember to leave a little room around the note card for sliding in and out.

Fold the right side of the Creped Filter paper over the tag.

Fold the left side over and secure with SNAIL or Glue Dots.
