Here we are, the second day using my new favorite product, Creped Filter Paper.  Sometimes something new is just what we need to get those creative juices flowing. My Creped Paper Gift Card Holder is a little more involved than yesterday's project, (the Creped Filter Paper Note Card), but just as much fun and very easy.  I really like the results. I hope the recipient likes this as much as I do.  What do you think?

Yesterday I discovered that the folded pocket was perfect for holding a standard gift card. After applying ink to the Creped Filter Paper with my brayer, I stamped a repeating motif from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Early Espresso Classic Ink.

Since the filter paper is too thin to hold the gift card by itself, I had to come up with an inside pocket.  Super easy!  Cut a piece of Naturals White Card Stock 2-1/2"x11". Using the score blade on your Stampin' Trimmer, score at 4" and 8". Round all four corners with a 3/16" Corner Punch.  Fold and round all folded corners.  Distress all edges with Cajun Craze Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

I chose the Petite Pairs Stamp Set for the greeting.  I love that this set has both outside and inside matching sentiments.

When the inside pocket is slipped out of the sleeve it opens to another greeting and a gift card.

Tie it all up with a belly band of the Natural Trim Ribbon (#102316).  A butterfly from the Creative Elements Stamp Set adds an elegant touch.  Layer the butterfly to for added dimension using Stampin' Dimensionals. Don't forget to add a little Basic Rhinestone.  Everyone needs a little "Bling" sometimes.
