Cookies & Crafts February 2013
There's one you and there's only one Cookies & Crafts in Reno, Nevada…. And…. this is what you'll make tomorrow (February 14, 2013). Perfect for that "last minute" Valentine you forgot. Even better yet, treat yourself. After all, aren't you worthy of a Wild West Paper Craft and Scrumptious Handmade Cookie from the Wet Hen Cafe?
What, you haven't heard about Cookies & Crafts? Well set yourself down and I'll give you the scoop.
Cookies & Crafts is a monthly event where Wild West Paper Arts and the Wet Hen Cafe in Reno, Nevada put together the magic of Sweets & Paper Crafts. All you crafters out there, you know what I mean. Now, I know the Wet Hen is a strange name but trust me, once you visit you'll be coming back for more of their handmade, rustic cuisine. You'll feel like you're at Grandma's house.
On the second Thursday of every month, treat yourself to a scrumptious cookie and beverage of your choice while making a fun seasonal craft like the cookie pouch shown here. What's all this cost? A whopping $5.00! (extra cookie not included). This event is "Open House" style between 2:30 and 4:00. Allow 15 minutes to make the craft and visit with friends as long as you like. There's one catch, the crafts and cookies are only as supplies last. Once we're out, we're done for the day. To ensure your spot go to my Cookies & Crafts Event page and RSVP before 8:00 pm tonight (Wednesday, February 13, 2013).
If you'd like more information on making the cute cookie pouch above, just leave a comment on this post. You may not have enough time to make it for Valentine's Day this year but with a few tweaks you could easily use this for an anniversary, birthday or even a random act of kindness.
See you at a Cookies & Crafts event real soon.
Thank you for stopping by!
Wish I lived nearby so I could join you for Cookies and Crafts. Is the pouch made with framelits? Couldn't see the crease so didn't think you used the petal cone die. Would love a tutorial! Thanks for all the great ideas!
