The Basics, It’s a Wrap Occasion
This post, (The Basics, It’s A Wrap Occasion) is dedicated to all of us stamp collector/procrastinators that need to use our stamps. If there were a self-help group for us, I would be the President! Yesterday’s post talked about the new Stampin’Up! classes (officially called “The Basics”) and how they’re great for the Paper Crafting Procrastinator, Beginners and Busy Stampers. Since I’m a big offender, I’m taking the class myself with a twist…. incorporate stamps that I haven’t used yet and keep it simple.
When the It’s A Wrap Occasions Stamp Set, made its debut I loved it, and still do. But somehow, it got pushed aside for something new. Oops, sorry. These images are perfect for mini-candy bar wraps but you can use them for so much more. For example, the candle above. How will you use yours?

“The Basics” class starts out with how to properly use your ink. Very simple technique to give you a solid foundation to build upon. You’ll find simple, straight forward projects that focus on the technique being taught. Focus! I love it. It’s amazing how quickly projects come together when we have a basic design to follow.
You can always “step-it up” a notch by adding embellishments or, my favorite, Paper-Piercing. No surprise there. I created a halo-effect by using the oval template in the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack (#129387).

The next time I make this card, I’ll pierce my paper design from the back to give it even more dimension. I’ll be making several of these for my card box. It’s also the perfect size to hold a gift card. Now, it’s your turn. Read on or click the Nuts & Bolts graphic below for a downloadable PDF of supplies for The Basics, It’s A Wrap Occasion project.

Terri, I'll probably post a follow-up showing the "Reverse Paper-Piercing" today. Watch for it.
Never thought of using those stamps on a card. Thanks for thinking outside the box. I also never thought about piercing from the back, but that does make so much sense. Thanks for that tip too.
Sweet, simple and adorable!
