Reverse Paper-Piercing
Yesterday I mentioned an alternate Paper-Piercing technique to really WOW a card. Introducing Reverse Paper-Piercing. Just pierce from the back of the card stock. That's it! Here's yesterday's sample for comparison. What do you think?
The difference is amazing! Click here for the original post and a clean sample with no paper-piercing at all. Next time a project needs that extra "something," give Reverse Paper-Piercing a try.

Have you heard?
The Paper Pumpkin is coming,
the Paper Pumpkin is coming!
Check back tomorrow for more information.
And it is not the scoring tool it is the sharp point?
Correct, it’s the Paper-Piercing tool (sharp point).
Nanci, I pierced a new piece and it looks just like my sample. I’ll send you the picture via email.
Yours looks more embossed like the polka dots EF.
I am using whisper white are you using the paper piercing tool or something else?
Nanci,
Got it! Yes, I’m using the SU! Tool, Whisper White and the SU! Paper-Piercing Mat. Later today I’ll try a few things to see what might be happening. It could just be the photography that makes it look that way.
I have the same question as Susan. Mine never looks so rounded either. Yours looks more like the poka dot EB folder. How did u do that ?
I love that technique. I never would have thought of doing that. Thanks for sharing that tip. It really, really makes a statement.
Definitely like the reverse paper piercing better. It really make it pop. Thanks for showing both.
How did you get the pierced hole to look so perfectly rounded? When I pierce card stock the edges are rough and a little irregular.
Susan & Nanci,
It would be great to see a sample of the problem. One question, what kind of card stock are you piercing on? Is it Whisper White or another color? I’ll try to recreate the problem after you let me know. Thanks so much everyone for the feedback!
