A Perfect Day
What is a perfect day? When the sky is blue, fruit trees are in blossom and butterflies are flitting about. And, of course when I get a chance to play with my “Pals”.
This week, Pals Paper Arts offers us PPA156 Color Challenge.
And, in case you haven’t checked out the Color Refresh at Stampin’Up!, we’ll be saying goodbye to Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery soon. It’s a bittersweet goodbye for sure. These are two of my favorite colors. However, I’m excited to play with the new palette. Click here to review my blog post with information on the exciting Color Refresh. Now, back to today’s project.
The beautiful blues in this week’s challenge are a reminder of spring skies in northern Nevada so it’s easy to see why Sunshine & Sprinkles is the Designer Series Paper of choice for today’s project.
If you’re into digital, the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper is also available as Digital Download #130670.
What better way to celebrate blue skies but to bring in the butterflies? Instead of punching and layering the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches, I thought I’d try something different. How about layering the negative images? What do you think?
The addition of Framelits and Paper-piercimg finish off the card front perfectly! So happy I decided to try a new technique. Now for the inside.
Remember the butterflies we punched for the negative layering technique? Here they are along with the other half the Apothacary Accent Framelit we cut for the front. I love it when everything comes together so nicely.
