Clear Photopolymer Stamps, Bombs Away Birthday!
Look what just showed up! The newest addition to Stampin’Up!s Clear Photopolymer Stamps, Bombs Away Birthday (#133411). I love the fun and sassy sentiments and the fact that you can personalize one of the stamps to fit your particular need. Look what a Stampin’Up! catalog designer did to personalize it. Cute and clever!
What would you be old enough to collect collect? Hmmm….. clear stamps?
Why has it taken Stampin’Up! so long to get on the clear bandwagon? Simple, quality. They wanted to find a material that would stand the test of time and produce a quality image, like the rubber stamps they’ve been known for over the years. Acrylic just wouldn’t do. Hello, photopolymer!
It may be a new and strange word to some of us in the stamping world but it’s commonly used in several industries. For instance, photopolymer is used commercial printing for plate making and 3D printing. That makes it an obvious choice for clear stamps! Thank you Stampin’Up! for your research.
When you first open your photopolymer stamps, you’ll smell a bit of chemical. No worries, nothing is wrong. The odor will vanish after a few uses. Here’s a video from Stampin’Up! with more information and some of the advantages of these wonderfully clear additions to our family.
