Just Because It’s Time
Why am I sharing a project made with Vintage Verses from Sale-A-Bration now that’s Sale-A-Bration is over? I thought you’d like a sample just because it’s time to use those wonderful goodies we all got for free. And because this stamp set really works well with the new This and That Epic Day Designer Series Paper.
This new paper makes it so easy to create a nostalgic, grungy project. It’s distressed, yet colorful. It’s vintage and contemporary at the same time. And, if I’m not careful, I’ll run out of this paper before I even start my This and That smash book.
Another piece I used from This and That Epic Day bundle is the Rotary Stamp. It fits nicely with the nostalgic feel of this project. Every time I use it I think of a part time job while in high school.
Notice the die-cut and paper-piercing on the back of the card? Decorating the back of your projects are sure to keep it in the recipient’s grasp longer. Even commercial card makers have started putting clever touches on the back of their cards.
Paper-piercing on the front adds detail without overpowering the rest of the card. It also adds an elegant, sophisticated touch to a very quick and simple card. Piercing around the die-cut Designer Series Paper is freehand. It sounds scary but when you take your time, it’s really very easy.
The recipient of this card has a charm collection. The addition of a little clock from Teatime Trinkets turns this card into a gift as well. Teatime Trinkets are metal and come with all the hardware you need to make it a first class gift.
Finally, Don’t forget to ink the edges with a sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink. Sponge Daubers give more control over distressing than standard sponges or the “direct to paper” method.
Back to This and That Epic Day Bundle. Did you know that it’s a new product line at Stampin’Up!? However, the individual elements are only available as a bundle, and at a savings until April 30, 2013. Click here for all the information you need to make your decision.
