Snow Day Costume Party!
Remember this Snow Day Pumpkin from Digital Download Tuesday, September 17th? The image was created with My Digital Studio (MDS) and saved for a later hybrid project. Here it is, an invitation for a Snow Day Costume Party.
A few scraps of paper, leftover retired brads, along with a little bling and we’ve got this fun card. Want to know how the spooky border was created?
It was a complete accident and the reason why we paper hoarders (I mean crafters) hold on to odd scraps. A big thanks to the new Bracket Label Punch and Witches Brew Designer Paper for the slightly wicked design.
To duplicate the look, just punch a series of tags with the Bracket Label Punch, close to the edge of your favorite Designer Series Paper. Keep the remaining edge and stash those cute little labels for another project. Go ahead, give it a try.
The Banner and Treat Bag are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Dazzling Diamonds were added before popping up the banner and a touch of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details was added to the spider for some zing.
A Rhinestone adorns the star on our character’s head and more Dazzling Diamonds make the face and buttons twinkle.
Don’t forget the inside!
One of the many reasons to fall in love with My Digital Studio (MDS) is the ability to create images that would be very difficult using traditional paper crafting techniques. Not just difficult but very pricey. Take the Spider, Treat Bag, Black Cat and sentiments for example. It would have taken 3 different stamp sets and a lot of fussy cutting to create this card. With MDS it still took 3 sets but the cost was a fraction of what it would have been AND…. it’s saved for future use. Bonus!
