PPA248 Sketch Challenge with the Pals!
Happy PPA248 Sketch Challenge with the Pals! I just love this sketch by Kerry Willard-Bray at Pals Paper Arts. It can be as simple or complicated as you want to make it. Or, somewhere in the middle like this Mother’s Day Card. A little bit of the beautiful Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (#137784), Heart Collection Framelits (#125599) and matching Occasions Paper Piercing Pack (#129387) and you’ll create a masterpiece!
This card is very, very mail friendly. Even though there are no heavy embellishments to gum up the high-speed postal machines, there’s no shortage of dimension. Thank you Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Paper Piercing tools!
Rarely do I purchase a “holiday specific” stamp set, except for Christmas and Halloween. However, this one (Sweet Laughter) has so much more going for it than Mother’s Day.
By separating the phrases from the cute graphics, you have elements that can be used in many ways. Sure, you could color your stamps with Stampin’ Write Markers but why? Make it easy on yourself. This is one reason I choose Clear Mount for my Red Rubber stamps.
Cutting the image apart made the inside sentiment and the envelope decoration a breeze!
Another bonus from Paper Piercing…. beautiful on both sides without bulk.
I just love this cute little image. Then there’s the matching envelope liner, of course. Nothing but the best for Mom! For larger view, click each image.
Time for you to have some fun. Come out and play with us today for PPA248 Sketch Challenge with the Pals.

You did it again! You made me realize that I do not do enough paper piercing, this is just fantastic…..makes the WOW front and center but still perfect for mailing! WOOT-WOOT!
This is fantastic, Rae! I love the paper piercing. I adds just the right about of wow!
I love your card, Rae. Love the colors, the DSP choice, and the paper piercing – a tool I haven’t used in quite awhile – will have to get it out again!
Love this, Rae! All the layers, including those added by your paper piercing, add up to one awesome card. Nice to let some DSP to do the work too. So glad you joined Design Team 1 this week at the PPA!
