PPA249 Sketch Challenge with Pals!
Oh happy day, it’s PPA249 Sketch Challenge with the Pals! Perfect sketch to showcase the retiring Starburst Sayings and Starburst Framelits and of course some Paper-Piercing. 
About that Paper-Piercing. There is no template for the Starburst Framelits. The piercing you see on this project is freehand, sort of. Since the Starburst Framelits have distinct lines it’s easy to pierce in just the right place. Even Starburst Sayings is part of the Paper-Piercing act! The small “Happy Dots” are a perfect template. 
It sure is funny how the thought of not having something makes one appreciate it even more. Case in point, the Starburst Framelits and Starburst Sayings. I haven’t used them nearly enough this year. Now that they’re going away I have a new appreciation for them.
If you’ve been sitting on the fence about something, grab it before it’s gone forever. In the past retiring stamps and punches could be replaced with the corresponding Digital Studio graphic. Now that My Digital Studio, the Booster Pack and all of the graphics are retiring, that’s not an option. Drats!
Speaking of MDS, everything in the MDS product line through June 2, 2015 at 30% off the retail price. That includes MDS Software AND print products. They’ve also worked out a solution for support through the software vendor. Great news and a topic for an additional blog post.
How does one decide which retiring items to purchase or keep in my tack room? You may wonder why I would even consider getting rid of something. Simple, space. To answer the question, if a stamp set comes with a coordinating set of Framelits or punch, its a good bet that it stays. You may not see it used here or at workshops and classes but they can be used when creating personal projects. Haven’t seen the

Oh this is fun! I can’t believe they are retiring these already. The framelits are fun. We used them in a card class I went to but just had trouble justifying the price. Love the candy dot in the middle of the one star burst. The DP is great with the gold as well. Fits the challenge perfectly! Great job!
