Happy Thoughts with Paper Pumpkin June 2015
Happy Thoughts with Paper Pumpkin June 2015 is the topic for today. At least part of the kit. The June’s kit has us creating two beautiful cards that couldn’t be more different. We’re focusing on the kit supplies on the “earthy, warm” end of the spectrum for this post. Before you know it July’s kit will be here so let’s get to work. Instructions for the suggested card (seen below) are included in the kit but with a little stretching, we can create some cute alternates. The next three cards take advantage of extra paper gained by trimming the envelope liners at 2″ from the point shown in the picture below. Envelope liners really finish off a card but I rarely line the entire envelope. After all, it’s the flap that counts, right?Reap extra benefits from Paper Pumpkin Kits with a little thinking “out-of-the-box”. I always have leftovers. The following examples show a few ways to use those leftovers. The first one (below) is very similar to the suggested sample. Background stamping is replaced with some of the envelope liner trimmings. Number two is clean, simple (CAS) yet still earthy.Lastly, number three, another clean and simple card. This one is my favorite alternate so far. Use the pop-out center from the die-cut flower to create a contrasting center on the green blossom. By adding scrap supplies on hand to these sweet monthly kits, the possibilities are endless. Watch for more Wild West examples here or on the Paper Pumpkin Patch Facebook Page using more supplies from June 2015 kit later this week.
