  1. How about a collection of feathers where you have the flowers or stars, or a bit of fur around the brim. This time of year all the wild folk are busy nesting, hatching or raising their youngun’s. Of course you could also put a bandana on it as well…ready to grab for the dusty days of August.

  2. Since my Cubbies are doing so well this year, how about the Cubs emblem, a baseball and a bat to support the “underdog” of the MLB!?!

  3. Rae…..in ur part of the world it is much warmer than her is Australia…..if it were for here….I’d have a snowflake or a flourish that wld resemble a gust of wind. However in the warmer months……a long tall glass of something refreshing, perhaps a picnic blanket or basket/beach ball or beach umbrella wld be more appropriate for you now. What type of hats to you folks wear in the Summertime??? Could one be fashioned to look like your wild west one???
Good luck finding the right thing for that cute hat ooxx

  4. I just had some watermelon but that might look goofy on a hat. How about a wheat stalk thing – hey, I am in Iowa and not Kansas or Nebraska where I think wheat grows! Can’t quite put a cornstalk on a hat! Feathers are always good!

  5. I like the sunflower idea or even a zinnia or marigold/mum? What I am thinking is a fly swatter or mosquito repellent stuck up there! Maybe horse shoes? I do like the stars though- maybe different colored stars?

  6. Flowers with a butterfly.
Portrait of mother in a belt buckle frame.
    Macramé hat band.
Lasso hat band with a WW (Wild West) “brand”.
A chicken sitting on a nest (because the cows want us to eat more chicken).
A tie-dyed hat (for those “retro” cowboys) – a peace sign on the side is a bonus
A wide ribbon hat band with a big bow.
