PPA269 Acorny Sketch Challenge with Pals!
Welcome to Thursday and another challenge. I call it PPA269 Acorny Sketch Challenge with Pals for good reason. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t totally nuts about this sketch. Time to resort to cartwheels and gymnastics.
After throwing this sketch into a whirlwind this is what came out. At first I thought…. Monster, but no, I did that last week. Besides that, he looks sad or angry. Who likes a dumpy monster anyway? Turn it on the other side and you’ll see the monster.
The stamp set used here, with coordinating punch is one of the bundles we received at Stampin’ Up!s inspire.create.share convention this summer. It’s called the Acorny Thank You Photopolymer Bundle (140841), found on Page XX in the 2015 Holiday Catalog.
Since I’m being so honest, time for a confession. The Acorny Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating Acorn Builder Punch was NOT on my “Wish List”, not even close. So glad Stampin’ Up! made the decision for me. This is one super cute set.
And, only two ink colors and cardstocks are used, Blackberry Bliss and Soft Suede. Nice!
As you know, Rae, this is my favorite interpretation of this week’s sketch. When I revisited the sketch for this week (it was created months ago, as you know), I thought I’d gone totally nutty! Pun intended! I love that you used this “sleeper” set – I’ve loved using it myself for classes. And, I absolutely LOVE that you saw a banner in the design, using those lines between the circle arc as banner twine instead of the 1/2 circle that many others saw. Brava! (Oh, and lovely detail using the candy dots to indicate where the acorn is “attached” to the twine!)
Love your colors and antique feel…great card!
Love your interpretation of this sketch! simply adorable and I will be casing it.
I’m nutty about this yummy texture and pattern.
Thank you Mary!
Well, I am nuts about this set and punch! Something about those little polka dot caps on the acorns just makes me smile though you didn’t use that stamp. But, I love the woody look of yours. You did an amazing take on the sketch! I really like your card. I love fall so this was no exception! I am just trying to justify the purchase of this bundle! Amazing that you only had to use two inks! So fun and rich looking!
Thank you Chris… I’m trying really hard to enable you with this set. LOL! Glad you enjoyed it.
Cute, cute, cute!
Thanks a bunch Karen… I thought you’d like this one. 🙂
