Ready to play PPA273 Sketch Challenge with Pals? I’ve seen the rest of the Design Team creations. Ranging from modern to classic, some great inspiration at Pals Paper Arts this week.
If you live in the west you know we’ve been struggling with several years of drought. Call it wishful thinking but snowflakes have been appearing on lots of Wild West creations lately and this one is no exception.
Let’s start with Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper. By looking at the photograph in the Holiday Catalog, it’s difficult to see the true colors of this beautiful sheet of paper. The snowflakes are Whisper White suspended on a background of Soft Sky and Night of Navy like falling snow in the night sky. Just beautiful.

The sentiment, from Six Sayings (hostess set in Holiday Catalog, Page 51), was inked to compliment the snowflake sheet. Here’s how it was done.
- Ink stamp with Soft Sky Classic Ink;
- Apply Night of Navy Classic Ink to image randomly with Sponge Dauber or Stamping Sponge;
- Huff stamp to moisten;
- Stamp image.

Tip on creating the Silver Cording Trim embellishment. Apply Tear & Tape to background paper. Create figure 8’s, affixing the center to the Tear & Tape. The cording will stay right where you want it.

Great card and a great take on the sketch! I am getting a little bummed out – it was my turn to host the card club last month and this is one set I wanted. The demo had her baby early and cancelled for the month and all the other months are taken up. oh well, I can dream! This is so pretty with the silver! Thanks for the inspiration!
