PPA279 Color Challenge with Pals!
Have you played PPA279 Color Challenge with the Pals yet? You still have time. The link up closes on Tuesdays at Noon (EST). This week we feature the rich, traditional colors of a homespun Christmas. Perfect colors for a little vintage Victorian charm.
Here’s a better picture of the challenge.
One of the things I like about antique-looking projects…. mistakes are no problem. For instance, do you get a little heavy handed with glue creating oozes and smudges? Come on, fess up. I know I do. The beauty of this style is smudges are encouraged.
To create the “Peace” Tag you’ll need to get a little messy. Every piece of the tag is smudged except the Gold Foil. Gold Glitz Dazzling Details is added by drawing quickly with the tip. Skips in the gold detail outline adds to the overall antique feel.
Gold Cording creates a nest for this magnificent flower. And what would a vintage project be without a pearl?
Wondering how to create the beautiful poinsettias shown here? You’ll need the Festive Flower Punch and Reason for the Season Stamp Set (also available in a bundle at 15% savings). Then, watch the video below by Stampin’ Up! You’ll also see how it was used to create non-holiday flowers.
Before deciding on the color for my poinsettia, I created a second from Very Vanilla Cardstock and Cherry Cobbler Ink.
In case you’re wondering what you’d do with the Festive Flower Punch after Christmas here’s a little teaser. There’s a cute stamp set coming in the 2016 Occasions Catalog. If you’re not a demonstrator, the catalog will be live on January 5, 2016. Let your demonstrator know you need a 2016 Occasions Catalog and a Sale-A-Bration Catalog too! Don’t have a demonstrator? I’d love to be yours. Send me an email to info@wildwestpaperars.com. Please include your mailing address AND phone number with your request.
For now it’s time to play PPA279 Color Challenge with Pals! Ready, set, ink!
