PPA284 Sketch Challenge with Pals!
Ready for a challenge? PPA284 is this weeks Sketch Challenge at Pals Paper Arts. Team One is excited to share another creative sketch with you from one of our team members, Maggie Mata. Thank you for a great sketch Maggie. Love it!
You may wonder why my post is a day late. The Pals Paper Arts Designers are made up of two teams. Each team has a different focus. Team One focuses on the Sketch Challenges. Whereas, Team Two is responsible for Color Challenges. Since I’m on Team Two, I may post my creation a little later than the actual challenge. Make sense?
Remember it’s just a sketch, get creative – any colors and any products are welcome. We are excited to see what you do with it!
Rules for the Gallery:
- We invite you to use any brand of products to create your card or paper craft project.
- Your entry should be new and inspired (totally or partially) by this challenge.
- Please link to the blog post where your project is posted. Incorrect links are not eligible for Pals Picks, and may be deleted.
- Please use keyword PPA284 when uploading to public galleries.
- Inlinkz will close at Noon (EST) Tuesday, January 26.
- We’ll announce our Pals Paper Artist Picks on Wednesday, January 27.
Now, let’s get started.
I chose the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and coordinating Botanical Blooms Designer Series Paper to create my card. One of the fourteen Framelits in the set really stood out. You’ll see it circled in red, below. Perfect for the angled edge in the sketch, don’t you think?
Up Close and Personal: Another feature I love about these Framelits is the two “pop-up” flower dies. Use them with or without the stamps, like I did here. They’re beautiful either way. Add a little accent, like one of the 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents in Mint Macaron. A perfect compliment the Designer Series Paper.
The Inside Story: While creating the panels for the front of the card, I ended up with piece that was just a little smaller than desired. Too small for the front but perfect for the inside! Just enough room left for a Happy Hello from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

Beautiful as always, Rae! I LOVE all the white space. It really allows the designer paper and the flowers to take center stage. Thanks for joining the Sketch Team this week!
