Bring Birthdays Back!
Have you heard about the movement to Bring Birthdays Back started by Shannon West? No? In a nutshell, birthday cards are a dying breed due to the popularity of social media like Facebook. Who is Shannon West and what’s this all about? Shannon is an employee with Stampin’ Up! AND a “one-woman army” that wants to bring birthday cards back. So… she started a movement and it’s catching on!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to get “High 5s”, congratulations, birthday or other greetings in any form. However, there’s something super special about receiving a birthday card in the mail. Do you remember the time when you waited for those beautiful greetings to arrive? Now, imagine what it would be like to receive them again. Even better, how about a handmade birthday card? Now more then ever, it’s like a special gift.
How does Shannon plan to do this? By sending a birthday card to any of her Facebook Friends that ask. No joke!
Some of us Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators have decided to help push the movement along. How? It may be different for each of us. Here at Wild West Paper Arts I’m starting a Birthday Club. Here’s how it works.
- Sign up for the Birthday Club by using a special form, making sure you input your birthday.
- I’ll send you a handmade birthday card along with a gift certificate.
- Here’s the catch. I’ll end sign-ups on March 31, 2016 so sign-up soon!
Click here to fill out the form and submit. You’ll receive a confirmation email shortly after submitting the form.
Shannon appeared on television show promoting the movement. Click the link below to watch the video. She demonstrates a clean and simple (CAS) birthday card too!
