PPA288 Bloomin’ Sketch Challenge
Yay! Thursday! Time for another sketch challenge PPA288 with my Pals at Pals Paper Arts. Ready? Let’s go!
Today’s sketch is brought to you by the talented, Amy Lazzell of “Cards by Amy”, she used simple shapes to give us a great sketch to work with! We encourage you to grab your stamps and paper and play along with us this week! The link to upload your project to the gallery is included at the end of this post.
Rules for the Gallery:
- We invite you to use any brand of products to create your card or papercraft project.

- We’ll announce our Pals Paper Artist Picks on Wednesday, February 24th.
I chose to focus on products from the Botanical Blooms Suite for this card. You’re probably seeing it everywhere. There’s a reason for that… it’s got so many fun elements and of course the beautiful blooms! A favorite of mine is the Framelit that looks like a vine.
A package of Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper is also included in the product suite.
Guess what? That’s enough to get you a FREEBIE during Sale-A-Bration!!! But more on that later.
The Details: Little pieces of “Wow” make all the difference. Notice the little Enamel Dots These little self-adhesive gems are actually from the “It’s My Party” suite on pages 4-7 in the 2016 Occasions Catalog. Then, there’s always my favorite, Linen Twine. Just enough to make a project different and special.
For the inside I chose a sentiment set from the Annual Catalog called Feel Goods. The phrases are beautiful and script.
Which phrase is your favorite?
Square cards can be a challenge to send. Special envelopes, extra postage. Argh! If the finished size is a 4-1/4″, like the card featured here, slip it into one of Stampin’ Up!s Medium Envelopes and beat the higher postage! Of course, if you really want the envelope to fit the card, use the Envelope Punch Board. Great tool and on sale this week for 25% off retail, part of the Weekly Deals line-up. That’s a savings of $5.00!. Now that’s Wild!
I’m participating in a 30-day Challenge where we create a card and mail it to someone each day for thirty days. This is my card for day six. There are no other requirements making it easy to go wild with leftovers and scraps. I’ll be sharing the other cards for the next 30 days not necessarily in that order.
Now it’s your turn. Join us for fun with PPA288 Sketch Challenge at Pals Paper Arts this week.

PPA288 Product Roundup:
Fun, fun….FUN!!! I loved the sentiment you used in the inside….that is certainly a KEEPER Stamp Set and one that I think often gets forgotten about….so glad you shared,
Thank you Susan!
Beautiful, Rae! I love the colors. This Designer Series Paper ranks right up there as one of my favorites. The enamel dot works perfectly as the center of the flower. Thanks for playing with the Sketch Team this week!
Thank you Ann!
