Krafty Botanicals
Happy Friday Friends! It’s a little windy here in Northern Nevada but this weekend will be B-Utiful! A perfect weekend to check on the progress of the plants that were divided and transplanted last fall. And perfect time to feature some Krafty Botanicals to get us in the mood for spring. It’ll be here before you know it!
This card marks Day #1 of a 30-day Challenge. This is challenge is a little different than usually seen here. A group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators signed up to create a card a day and mail it to someone for 30 days. So far, I’ve been able to keep up.
If you’ve followed Wild West Paper Arts for any length of time, you’ll know I sometimes have trouble keeping up with self-imposed challenges and deadlines. Yes, I have a good reason for that but and excuse is still an excuse. Entering this challenge means the excuses have to go. So far, so good. We’re on Day #9 of the challenge and I haven’t missed a beat! To quote a phrase, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Journey with me as I share some creations for the next 30 days. You’ll see when creation time was limited and when there was more time to create by the project itself. Sometimes you’ll see retired product, sometimes new but always Stampin’ Up! products. Here we go!
Today’s card was inspired by a card on Pinterest by Tami White. Click here to see Tami’s original card ont my new Pinterest Board “CASEd Projects”. Although it’s similar in style, many of the elements are completely different. Thank you Tami for a fantastic card to CASE (Copy And Share Everything). In fact, the one two items we both used are the Tea Lace Paper Doily and the little strip of Shine On Specialty Designer Paper.
By using the Kraft card base as the first layer, the card becomes a cleaner version of the original while giving it a bit of rustic charm. Place a doily on the inside with a simple phrase from A Dozen Thoughts for a finishing touch.
You’ve heard me talk about my Paper Dolls Group of friends? Well, this was also my contribution for the February get-together. Love these double-duty projects! Visit tomorrow for the 30-day Challenge, Day 2, a fun 29th (right!) birthday card also created in my Paper Dolls Group.
Have a Wildly Creative Day
