Garden Butterflies for Auntie
One great thing about beautiful paper, the ease of creating a clean and simple card. When I find my mind wandering with thoughts of someone special, a card like this is a great way to send a heartfelt message. garden butterflies and all.
The Designer Series Paper shown here is English Garden. So many fresh, watercolor patterns to choose from. A piece of this gorgeous paper wrapped with some pretty ribbon and a swarm of butterflies, perfect. Need a close up? Just click on the images below.
Retired Ribbon: Just a few inches left of this super soft tule in Crumb Cake. Suggested substitute, 1″ Dotted Lace Trim in Tip Top Taupe. But, don’t wait too long. When the retiring items list comes out, it will go FAST!
Butterflies: Stampin’ Up! has many stamp sets that include butterflies and I LOVE butterflies! Yay! The set used here, Kinda Eclectic Clear Mount (item 135350), is also available in Wood Mount (135347). Both the Bitty Butterfly (129406) and Elegant Butterfly (127526) punches coordinate perfectly.
Did you know both Wood Mount and Clear Mount Stampin’ Up! stamps are red rubber? There’s nothing like rubber stamps when it comes to detail. Don’t get me wrong, photopolymer has it’s plus side too but my first love is red rubber.
Are you convinced that Clean and Simple (CAS) can also be Elegant and Beautiful (EAB) yet? Give it a try. Here are a few more samples using English Garden DSP by Stampin’ Up! for inspiration. Click on the pictures to enlarge.
