Swirly Scribbles Are Here!
Swirly Scribbles Thinlits are here! Actually they’re in the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog by Stampin’ Up!
Don’t they remind you of Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh? Take another look and you’ll see a rose. It’s all in your point of view. There’s a lot of potential with these Swirly Scribble Thinlits (item 141497). This die set includes nine dies. Even though it looks like more, I’ve only used two dies on this card.
Hidden Treasures: Don’t you just love finding treasures? This one didn’t appear until releasing my cut from the die. A super cute little scribble magically appeared!
Imagine the possibilities! Swirly Scribble Thinlits are also part of the Swirly Bird Bundle (item 142353) on page 152 of the new annual catalog by Stampin’ Up! The Thinlit Dies alone are found on page 194.
The new Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Paper (item 141648) is used for this project. What makes it special? Foil. Two of the 12×12 sheets have are foiled designs. The simple, graphic designs range from small and sweet to big and bold. Fantastic! You’ll find this paper on page 172 of the 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
Top it off with another pop. Melon Mambo dots from It’s My Party Enamel Dots (item 140554) to be exact..
The most difficult decision? Choosing the right greeting style. Curvy and bold a must. Short and sweet with a modern flare. Found it! Rose Wonder (item 140697) is perfect! With all of the wonderful greetings included in this set, it has found a permanent place on my work bench.
There you have it… something old (kind of), something new and then a wink of pink…. or Melon Mambo.
Get your “wish list” out. June 1st will be here before you know it!
Yep, Starry Night came to my mind too! How fun is that. Weird this post didn’t come to my in or junk boxes again. I hope I didn’t unsubscribe! Anyway, love these swirls. This has been my favorite die that I have seen from the new goodies. Oh, a spinner card would be so funny with this! I loved the swirly thing from that Paper Pumpkin kit and this reminds me of that. Great card with the candy dots too. I still don’t understand where the bird comes in with the set……
Chris…. Feedburner changed the way emails come in. Hotmail may be rejecting it entirely. I’ll try an email direct from my own email address this weekend.
Thank you for the great comment!
Wow! Great looking card. You’ve given this Swirly thinlit a whole new look. It looks like a spinner card. How many more looks can you come up with???
Thank you Janell! I’m working on a few rustic ideas. Key word “Rust”. 🙂
