Just Ripe for PPA302
Memorial Day Weekend and strawberries! Just ripe for PPA302, another sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts.
Welcome to another challenge from the Paper Pals Arts sketch team. The sketch this week, and inspiration for this card, was designed by team member, Nicole Watt.
I chose one of my favorite retiring stamp sets to create my project, Market Fresh and it’s paper cousin Farmer’s Market DSP. Market Fresh is the perfect stamp set to feed my recent watercolor cravings. Sorry to see this set go. Good news… it’s one of the stamp sets that you’ll receive a 20% discount on through May 31, 2016!

Keep the colors bright and true by using the water in your Aqua Painter or brush to lighten or darken the intensity of the ink. Only three colors are used here, Cherry Cobbler, Cucumber Crush and Delightful Dijon. A common watercolor mistake is overworking, resulting in muddy colors.
The banner is fussy cut and popped up for added dimension. Thank you Stampin’ Dimensionals! A few Soft Suede Candy Dots from the Neutrals collection are the perfect finishing touch.
A few scraps were left over and tucked inside.

How weird, I was getting your blog just fine and now I am not since you changed over. I was wondering what you had up your sleeve for the challenge. It looked like a farmer’s market type of deal. Ah, seeing Ann’s comment – I don’t know if I have seen all the PPA ideas. Anyway, whatever, love the strawberries and they look so yummy – good enough to eat! Wonderful watercoloring. Fun touch inside. Ummm, now I am wanting some strawberry shortcake!
Sometimes changes are a little painful. Each service is a different leaving me with a learning curve. Thank you so much for your feedback while I make the change.
