Many Manly Occasions
Hi Peeps! Are you anxiously awaiting your June Paper Pumpkin Kit? Me too. No video yet either. What’s a poor Pumpkin Head do do? Get out the leftovers from May’s kit, Many Manly Occasions, that’s what!
Since it’s so close to Father’s Day, I opted to make these birthday cards. It seems I’m always short on “manly” cards. The May 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit (Many Manly Occasions) has really helped with that.
Alternate #1: The first card uses some product outside the kit, hope you don’t mind. Night of Navy and Gold Foil cardstock along with Hello You Thinlits Dies to be exact.
Alternate #2: The next alternate card is created from leftovers from the Many Manly Occasions kit only. The top was trimmed away for a smaller card (posted earlier this month on the Paper Pumpkin Patch Facebook Page). Then, the orange corrugated piece is attached to the white with Tear & Tape for a firm grip.
Here’s a peek at the inside of the card. Notice the fold is open from the top down to the white die-cut piece. Gives it a little interest, don’t you think?
Alternate #3: Here’s a look at the smaller card posted on my Paper Pumpkin Patch Facebook Page. The size is 3-1/4 x 4-1/4. Great size for a gift card. Yes, it does need an envelope. That’s no problem with the Envelope Punch Board. Too bad I didn’t think about that until writing this post. Doh!
There’s yet another alternate on an earlier post. If you didn’t see it, click ===> “Twisted Paper Pumpkin”. You’ll probably see a few more using the leftovers from this kit. This orange corrugated paper is super to work with! I’m thinking… Halloween, tags…. etc.

Love the alternatives. My MIL just called to say they were moving the dinner from Sunday to tonight for Mike’s dad’s birthday and father’s day. I have the Father’s Day card but need to do a birthday card. I guess I don’t have to go to too much work since each year it is the same thing, “That’s real nice sis, thank you” as he plops it on the table. I think I will whip up the Happy one you just showed us for that.
Meanwhile I had to look at the video, that will be fun and a bit different. I am not big into sequins but this I can do. The stamps look fun too. Now, I gotta wait until it comes!
Thank you Chris. I’ll be stalking the mail carrier too!
