Anything But a Banner
What to do with a banner besides make a banner? Anything but a banner!
As you can see, this is NOT a banner. If you’re not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber or skipped the June 2016 kit, you’re probably confused right now. An explanation…. the Paper Pumpkin kit for June month is called Banner Surprise. Pretty straight forward, right? Wrong. The kit has everything you need to create cards. The surprise are the little banners that wrap the cards… a little gift for the recipient.
Cute, but I wanted something more. The bold, neutral stripes looked like a great pattern for gift boxes. So, out came the Thinlits Dies.
The first box (above) is created using Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies.
Before it was all over, the Baker’s Box and Cutie Pie Thinlits also got in on the fun.

Surprisingly, you won’t need many more supplies to create these cuties, except for the Thinlits. Additional supplies for each box:
Pyramid Pals Box – Real Red 3/8″ (1 Cm) Stitched Satin Ribbon, Gold Foil and Window Sheets, Gold Metallic Thread and candy of your choice. Red Hots are used in my sample.
Baker’s Box – Flirty Flamingo 3/8″ (1 Cm) Ruched Ribbon and Gold Foil Sheet
Cutie Pie Box – Peekaboo Peach 3/8″ (1 Cm) Ruched Ribbon. The white “frosting” on the cake is cut from the reverse side of the striped cardstock included in the kit.
Here are a few more ideas from the Banner Surprise Paper Pumpkin Kit. All ready for pinning to your Pinterest Account!
