Spooky Fun Sneak Peek
It’s Friday! Time for fun. Let’s start with a Spooky Fun Holiday Catalog sneak peek.
Are you scared yet? Not from the card, silly. Scared that you’ll want everything in the new holiday catalog? I’ve seen some great samples around the internet. As they say, you can run, but you can’t hide.
Spooky Fun and it’s companion, Halloween Scenes Edgelits are one of the bundles you’ll see in the catalog. You’ll find it on page 52 of the Holiday Catalog along with another set I’ve used, Ghoulish Grunge. Now that one is truly spooky.
Bits & Pieces is what you’ll find in the Spooky Fun Bundle. Nineteen stamps including the pieces you see here plus…
- Five phrases
- Trio of ghosts
- Jack-o-lantern faces that fit in the pumpkin trio featured on this card
- Spider web and dangling spider
- Three bats
- Two flying witches
- Trio of headstones (see the inside of this card)
Edgelits and Framelits that cut a bat, a flying witch, pumpkin trio, headstone trio the wickedly spooky tree shown below and a picket fence. Six dies in all. Wouldn’t this wicked bundle be great for Scrapbooking? The pieces are just the right size to include on a Project Life page too. Love that!
Shimmer & Shine. Clear Wink of Stella brings each element to lie. You can barely see it here but it really shimmers in the light of a full moon. Don’t forget a few black sequins scattered here and there. Secure them using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen and they won’t go anywhere.
Set the Mood by inking up the Brick Wall Textured Embossing Folder with Smoky Slate Classic Ink. Distress the edges of a not so Delicate White Doily also with Smokey Slate. Accidental rips and tear only add to the haunting look. Add a little purple blood from the new Ghoulish Grunge Stamp Set (also on page 52 of the 2016 Holiday Catalog) for some real “Ghoul appeal”.
Focus on Foreground by using the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies to cut a piece from the background panel before you adhere it. Don’t forget to swipe the edges with more Smokey Slate and rough up the edges with the blade of your Paper Snips.
The Inside Scoop. Pretty straight forward. Here’s an example of the headstone trio stamped and die-cut with the bundle along with one of the cute phrases.
Have I completely scared you now? No? Here are a few more samples to haunt, I mean taunt you while you’re waiting for September 1st. Take a look. Need a closer look? Click on each photo for a larger picture

Spooky Fun Sneak Peek Product Roundup:
Oh Rae your card was hauntingly perfect as well as those projects at the end. But, the best part (almost) was your descriptions! I am not a Halloween person but I would love to create all these fun projects. The little box with the tree etc. on it – you could do the same for a sticky note pad on the side. You could even make it so you could remove it after Halloween. Oh, me and my ideas and yours – what a pair we would make!
Thank you Chris. What fun we would have putting our ideas together!
Rae, you did it again. Another great card! Love all of the elements you have incorporated. What’s next?
Thank you Lady!
