Your Basket of Wishes for PPA318
It’s Thursday, time for a new challenge and your Basket of Wishes. This week we have a Sketch challenge by Pals Paper Arts Design Team Member Beth Beard.
I love Beth’s classic designs reflected in the PPA318 Sketch Challenge. Simple, balanced and open for lots of imagination as seen on Pals Paper Arts today.
I chose to keep my challenge project simple this week to showcase your Basket of Wishes in the center. If you’re a coloring enthusiast you’ll want to take a look at this two-step set. The set has three baskets and phrases with four images to stuff your baskets until they overflow. It may be featured in the 2016 Holiday Catalog but you’ll find yourself using it all year long.
Does the mere mention of “Two-Step” stamping make you shiver? Never fear, photopolymer is here! These crystal-clear stamps make you a Two-Stepping genius in no time at all!
Two-step Stamping? What is that? It’s a fun technique (well at least now it’s fun!) where by you stamp a base image then position and stamp an overlay or adjoining image like filling the basket with it’s contents.
Coloring these images can be as simple as two or three colors or several as in my project. It’s really up you. Color them with Stampin’ Write Markers, Blender Pens or Aqua Painters and our Classic Inks. Each will give you a unique look.
My example demonstrates the look of Aqua Painter with Classic Inks on Shimmery White Cardstock. What no Watercolor Paper? That’s right! Shimmery White Cardstock is a great paper to use when you want a more vibrant look to your watercolor creations.
The patterned paper piece comes from Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). This single sheet made my decision to purchase the entire pack! Two of the sheets have copper embossed images too! Talk about special!
Sticky Tip Get a grip on fastening ribbon like the Burlap Ribbon with Fast Fuze Adhesive. Works like your tried and true tape runner (aka SNAIL) but much, much stronger. Inch for inch, Fast Fuze Refills are even less expensive. Now that’s a deal I can stick to!
Let’s get back to this week’s challenge.
