Wicked Gingerbread
Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for October 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our October 2016 creations. Including my mouthwatering, Wicked Gingerbread creation. This month our projects feature cards made using “wicked” folds. What is a “wicked” fold? It is anything other than the standard A2 card fold. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
Today I played with a fold I’ve wanted to try for quite some time…. it’s a Double Gate Fold. Not difficult at all, it just looks wicked.
Folded, the card is a standard A2 so it fits nicely in the standard A2 envelope. I’ve seen many ways to keep the card closed but I like the belly band. Not only because it gives the card some added fun but the term “Belly Band” is just so much fun to say.
And here’s my wicked gingerbread card all folded up and ready to mail.
One thing I learned with this fold…. the score lines can get thin with Designer Series Paper pretty quickly. So, Folder, beware.
Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper and the Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle are made for each other, don’t you think? If you love the paper, you can get it free with Stampin’Up!s October Special, Buy 3 get one Free!
I sure hope you’ve enjoyed our Wicked Folds Blog Hop. For a tutorial on how to create this fold, Click Here.
