Beautiful Baby Girl
It’s time for Kylie’s International Highlights again. With a title like “Beautiful Baby Girl,” it’s not hard to guess the theme. No, it’s not pink. It’s not even girl. It’s baby, Silly.
For this one I decided to go shabby. My favorite style, though you wouldn’t know it lately. It’s a great style to hide imperfections and just get down and dirty.
No Baby Stamps! So, what does one do when there are no current baby stamps in their studio? Not even a stamp or Thinlit with the word “Baby”. Go generic and make a statement with color. Beautiful You has just the right statement in the perfect size for this card. When choosing a stamp set, I check out the font and wording. If the set can be used just for the wording alone, it’s a keeper.
No Perfection! You’re sure to notice the rips and tears but did you also notice the pearls? There’s a big old gap between the top three and the bottom two. I’d love to say it was intentional but one of my pearls fell off between creation and photo op. No problem, it’s shabby, right?
Separation Anxiety! One of the things that can really get a paper crafter’s panties in a bunch is thread or twine not staying put after we get just the right look. Argh! Here’s my little tip… good ol’ fashioned Scotch Tape. After the thread is secured you can drop some Multipurpose Liquid Glue in a hidden area and you’re good to go. Linen Thread is used here.
The Inside Scoop. The inside is simple with plenty of room to write a special message for that Beautiful Baby Girl.
HELP! I need You! Just like last month, I’m asking for your help. Follow the link below and vote for my card. It’s #42 in the gallery. This is sort of like Dancing with the Stars without the injuries or sweat. We don’t even have to appear half naked to participate. So, whatcha say? Will you vote for my card?
The top 10 crafters will be highlighted in an international blog hop. How cool is that? What’s the big deal? Exposure, my friends. It’s all about visitors to my blog/website. Without visitors, there’s no reason to continue. So let’s get crackin! Here’s the link. Vote and enjoy!
