Are you a fan of the color pink? I’m not but you sure wouldn’t know it lately. Hmm.., what’s up with that? You may have seen mention the “inside scoop” on the Facebook Page (Facebook.com/wildwestpaperarts).  A clever way of telling you there’s more to this Colorful Seasonal Sayings card than the outside. More on that in just a minute.

First the outside. Wondering where that fun, swashbuckling background came from?  It’s one of the cards included in the Soft Sayings Card Kit. The cute little Adirondack chair is part of the Seaonal Layers Thinlits Dies set (Item 143751) and the beautiful phrase part of Colorful Seasons photopolymer stamp set (item 143726). Both the stamp set and Thinlits are available as a bundle too, saving you 10% (Colorful Seasons Bundle Item 145348).

Ribbons and trim always help take a simple design to the next level.  Mix some new ribbons with old to add interest without tying bows. The Burlap Trim gives a bit of earthy feel while toning down the bright Berry Burst Background. White sequins help to keep that cute little chair in focus.

The inside scoop. While creating the card front a few chairs in different colors were cut. In stead of putting the extra chairs in a “use it later” stash (which never gets used), I opted to decorate the inside with one of them. Both the spray of flowers and phrase are also part of the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.

Tip…. use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (Item 138309) to adhere the chair to your card.  No sticky mess!
