Beautiful Gift of You

When a new catalog and all it’s enticements come out I frantically start making room for new goodies. While fooling around with some retired product this Beautiful Gift of You framed piece emerged. What do you think?

This set gets better and better with age. Kind of like us, right? The only current item used here is the Beautiful You Stamp Set. The frame, ribbon, linen thread and button are leftover from the April 2014 Paper Pumpkin Kit “Framed with Love. You can use any frame. I keep mine and change out the image periodically. It’s the perfect size for a little desk clutter.

Here’s what I did. Retired supplies are noted with an astrisk (*). Substitute retired items with current products and coordinating colors to make it work for y0u.

Cut a 4″ square piece of Soft Suede Cardstock (115318) for mat.
Cut a 3-1/2″ square piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP). Serene Scenery* is used here. Stamp dancing figure from Beautiful You Stamp set directly on DSP with Soft Suede Classic Ink (126978). Stamp “Live Laugh Love” in Early Espresso Classic Ink (126974) directly on the DSP.
Stamp Dancing Figure with Soft Suede Classic Ink on a scrap of DSP. Small patterns work best. Fussy cut the hat and dress as one unit. Adhere to original image stamped in step 2.
Adhere the 3-1/2″ square DSP piece to the 4″ square piece of cardstock and place in frame.
Tie bow with 1-1/4″ to 1-1/2″ ribbon. Adhere to frame with Hot Melt Glue.
Thread a piece of Linen Thread (104199) through a Vintage Faceted Button*. Tie a bow. Attach to ribbon with Hot Melt Glue and you’re done!

Note: You’ll need a square frame with a 3-5/8″ square opening for these measurements. The frame used in this project has an overall size of 6″ x 6″.
