Snowflake Showcase Ends Today!
Snowflake Showcase Ends Today!
The last snowflake in Stampin’ Up!s Snowflake Showcase falls today, at 11:59 pm Mountain Time. That’s right, all of the elements in the Snowflake Showcase will become extinct. Can’t get enough snowflake stamps and dies? I’m with you, friend. So, today, I’m making a case for snowflakes right here at Wild West Paper Arts.
Does the project today look familiar? It should. Here’s the original from Stampin’ Up!
The differences seem obvious at first glance. Then you’ll notice a few subtle changes. In addition to the absence of a banner and gold snowflake, there are added layers, a knot at the bottom and a Clear Facted Gem in the center.
Stack it up with several of the many snowflakes included in this beautiful set of Thinlits. Ihclude some Sparkle Glimmer Paper to the stack for an icy look.
This background, created by the artists at Stampin’ Up! is a stroke of genius! To create it,
- Use a Sponge Dauber to rub color (Shaded Spruce used here) in a circle, keeping the color darker in the center.
- Use the same color ink to stamp images (shown below) over the sponged area. Stamp some at full strength and some after stamping off some of the color.
So much more to love about this showcase. For one thing, there’s a stamp set that will carry you through the year. The Happiness Surrounds stamp set will help you get started on next year’s greetings. Yay! And the Thinlits? Well, they have coordinating dies for both sets. Then, there’s the Snowflake Trinkets.
If you love Snowflakes and getting started on projects for spring, 2019… you don’t want to miss the Snowflake Showcase. Today is the last day to snag it for yourself or a friend.
Thanks for stopping by today and don’t forget to have a Wildly Creative Day!
