My Favorite Season
Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “My Favorite Season” – showcasing our favorite stamps and supplies for our holiday project. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Full disclosure! My favorite season is NOT winter. It’s a tie between spring and autumn. So why the winter project? I LOVE snowflakes and snowmen. This set and coordinating products have so much to love. Inspiration for this card comes from my friend and customer, Tonna Zablah at My Red Hen during a card buffet event she hosted. I changed the snowman and the direction of the layer he sits on for this post.
Wondering how to create this card? Wonder no more.
Start with a foundation.
- Cut Whisper White Thick CardStock Base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ . Score at 2″ and 4-1/4″ folding like a “Z”
- Cut three squares from Whisper White CardStock 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″. Alternate idea, use Stitched Shapes Dies to die cut the squares.
- Cut Real Red CardStock 2-1/4″ x 6-3/4″. Score at 2-1/4 and 4-1/2″ folding like a “Z”
- Cut Let it Snow Specialty DSP as follows:
- Snowflake design: 1-7/8″ x 4-7/8″
- Pool Party and Real Red striped design: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Real Red and Whisper White spotted design: 1/4″ x 5-1/4″
- Fussy your choice of snowmen making sure to use one that fits inside one of the Whisper White squares.
Build your masterpiece.
- Adhere the DSP pieces as shown above.
- Stamp greeting on Whisper White square. I stamped “Let it Snow” with Shaded Spruce Classic Ink.
- Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the snowman to a Whisper White square as shown above.
- Using adhesive of your choice, adhere three Whisper White Squares to Real Red scored strip as shown above.
- Assemble the card as follows:
- Fold both the Card Base AND the Real Red piece separately.
- Align the Real Red piece as desired on the Card Base making sure the folding action works properly.
- Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to affix the bottom Real Red square to the bottom of the card base. Position before the adhesive dries.
- Close the entire card.
- Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to affix the “Snowman” or top most Real Red square to the top or outside of the folded card. Apply the glue to the left part of the Real Red piece only. Position before the adhesive dries.
- Decorate as desired with Red Basic Jewels and Real Red 1/8″ Curly Ribbon.
Wasn’t that easy?

Love this card Rae! I can’t wait to play with this bundle! I love the fun fold too! Though I am NOT a fan of winter either but agree snowmen are adorable!!!
Thank you Jeanie. I DO have a St Patrick’s Day snowman so I guess they can be used year round.
Oh, Rae, I absolutely adore this card! I am such a sucker for snowmen and haven’t seen this one yet, since I have resisted – so far LOL – this DSP. The fun fold is great and really appreciate the directions.
THank you Debbie. You’ll love this bundle, I promise. LOL!
LOVE this!! Thank you for the step-by-step directions–as a newbie, much appreciated!
You’re welcome Lisa and thank you for the nice comment.
Your snowman is adorable, Rae! Love how you featured him on this special fold card!
Thank you Su. He’s just so cute!
I agree Rae, I don’t love winter, but I do love snowmen! Your card is darling!
Thank you Beth. I agree!
Very cute, I love the slightly non traditional colors.
Me too Jill. Thank you!
So adorable, Rae! I think my favorite reason for loving the designer series paper is the color selection. So striking! Love it, Pal!
Completely agree Katy. Thank you so much!
Very cute card, Rae! I love your disclosure…I’m totally with you on that!
Thank you Roseanne. I feel the same about hot summers. Guess I’m just a moderate. LOL!
This is such a cute card. I like the fold and the diamond shape layer.
Thank you Jackie!
