Christmastime Layers with Pals
Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “Layer It Up” – showcasing our favorite Designer Series Paper and embellishments. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
In my opinion, Christmastime is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) is the perfect choice to Layer It Up. Have you seen it?
This project may look like a gift bag, but look again. It’s actually an envelope.
Look at that beautiful rose. No stamping, just paper. Here’s how the dimension was created.
- Die cut the large Rose from the SDSP sheet, twice using coordinating die. It lines up perfectly!
- Adhere one of the roses to a Copper Dotted Treat Bag.
- Cut apart petals of the roses, leaves, etc from the remaining rose and start layering them over the top of the first rose.
- Tips: Use a Bone Folder to curl the leaves and petals a bit before adhering to the flat rose. Use both Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionsals to “sculp” the layers while creating the 3d Rose.
Layer it Up
- Create a foil piece with the “trellis” die included in the suite. Adhere it under the rose so only part of it is visible.
- Tuck little loops of Linen Thread under the petals, here an there.
- Coat the entire piece Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush
- Place droplets of Shimmery Crystal Effects over the leaves, pine cones and petals.
- Add Pearl Basic Jewels to the bag.
This beautiful suite is only available during November, while supplies last so get yours before they’re gone.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 11th, for our Retirement Fun Fold Party when our Design Team showcase projects using retiring products from the Holiday Catalog with a fun fold card. Don’t miss the fun!
