Critter Creations with Pals
Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critters” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to 1 lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired. A random winner will be announced on a subsequent blog post by each participating design team member. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
What exactly is a critter? Is it a furry, four-legged friend, a creepy crawly, or something that flies? How about butterflies? I sure hope so. The stamp set I used for this little spring tag is called Positive Thoughts (151490) found in the 2020 Spring Mini Catalog. Pair it with the coordinating thin metal dies, Nature’s Thoughts (153586) and you have a sweet set.
Have you tried the new So Very Vellum (152313) available in the second release Sale-A-Bration offerings? It comes in three beautiful colors (Pool Party, Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam). AND, it’s embossed! It’s used here as the backdrop for the tag. It’s mounted atop a piece of Old Olive Foil from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets (149495). Backing up the vellum with card stock other than Whisper White really makes the color pop.
You’ll notice some spots on my project. This is caused from adhering vellum to another piece of paper. Because my style is “Whatever Goes” it works. If you want a cleaner result, experiment with adhesives like our Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309) or Mini Glue Dots (103686) placed under focal elements to hide any spots.
Finish it off with a deconstructed greeting, a little shimmer, a few gems and a big bow.
Do you like sweet mysteries? Leave a comment on this blog post and be entered into the Mystery Blog Candy give away on Friday, March 13th. Don’t forget to hop through the other posts and leave comments. Many of them are also offering Mystery Blog Candy.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 8th, for our “Special Occasions” blog hop when our Design Team showcase projects for weddings, graduation, anniversary, baby, Mother’s/Father’s Day or any special occasion. Don’t miss the fun
